a.1.1 Team Nationality, Gender
Team members may be from any mixed citizenship, nationalities and gender.

a.1.2 Number of different contests each team member is allowed to enter
You can enter each contest with more then one Team video routine, as long as Team members are different then in previous Team (check specific rules for each game).  One exception is Freefly/Freestyle 2 way and Skysurf. in Freefly 2way and Skysurf game, Team members can be the same as previous Team and therefore submit a second video, as long they invert position, the performer become the cameraflyer and the cameraflyer the performer.

a.2 Location of Contest Jump
Teams may perform their routine jump in any Skydiving Center of their choice in the world

a.3 Exit Altitude
Teams will exit at whatever exit altitude as officially and safely proposed by the Skydiving Center they are jumping at.

a.4 Start of routine, length, end of routine
The choreography starts when at least one of the team members have detached both feet from the aircraft.
End of the choreography is when the team decides so by uploading the video only till the point of chosen end. Choreography does not have minimum nor maximum length time, though videos downloads should not exceed 2min30sec total including the time in the airplane before exit.

a.5  Parachute opening altitude
The minimum parachute opening altitude is the one as safely set by the Skydiving Center you are jumping at and as indicated by general NAC and FAI rules.

a.6  The wear of helmets is mandatory

a.7 The use of additional external props
the use of additional external props other then a skysurf for the skysurfers, is not allowed.
Easy detachable ribbons, as those used as indicator in big way formations or in pylon races, may be accepted as long as team is  following the regulations of the skydiving center they are jumping at and if it does not create any sort of unsafe situation. If you have any doubts on this point please contact stefania@skyonstage.com

a.8 Skydiving wear
What competitors wear during the routine choreography, should not pose hazard to safety. If there are concerns about this point please contact stefania@skyonstage.com.
a.9 Safety Concerns
If some Team maneuver or flying looks unsafe as per the Technical Committee (TC-Panel), it will be discarded from final results. TC-Panel will look at safety issues concerning exits, skydiving equipment (for what visible), skydiving wear, non-controlled unsafe flying. If you have any concern or questions regarding this point, please do not hesitate to contact us.

a.10 Number of Competition Jumps
Teams, with same composition of team members, can enter one of Sky on Stage contests with only one choreography per game . Exception is for Freefly/Freesty 2 way and Skysurf contests (check point a.1.2 as well as rules specific to each game) Last date to register to the games is November the 15th. Once registered, Teams have time to send and upload their chosen choreorgaphy video, till December the 1st. Teams can choose their final video choreorgaphy among any of the training jumps that follow the video requirement and the filming of the ‘Start Paper’ (check point a.13 and a.14).

a.11 Training Jumps
Registered Teams will have time to upload their video routine till December the 1st, One jump of their choice, among the training jumps. Registered Team will be informed on the link where to upload the videos once registered. Teams are free to do as many training jumps as they wish.
Training jumps valuable to enter the actual contest are only the ones that cover the video recording requirements as indicated at point a.13 and a.14.

a.12 Content of Routine, Requirements
It is a Free Artistic routine with no specific requirements nor guidelines. Only requirement is to respect safety.

a.13 Video Recording, Requirements
Before the start of the routine cameraflyer will have to: light up the camera, film briefly the ‘Start Paper’ (see point ‘a.14’) and go to exit without switching of the camera.
Start Paper will have following written infos: SkyonStage 2020, name of the team, type of contest, jump location.
The recording will have to be continous and not edited, from the filming of the ‘Start Paper’ till the end of the routine. Please be kind, trying to use only the minimum needed filming time before exit the plane, so not to make the video uploading/downloading a much longer process 😀

a.14 Start-Paper
Team will have to film a ‘Start Paper’ prior exiting the aircraft.
You can write the Start Paper by hand or print it. the Start Paper  will have to contain following informations:

sky on stage 2020
name of the Team:
type of contest:
location:

Example of ‘Start Paper’:
skyonstage 2020
Team: Phantastic
Contest: 5way Freefly
DZ: Skydive Trento

a.15 Judging System
There are 2 Panel of judges (check the Panel of Judges members). One panel of judges, the ES-Panel consist of experienced skydivers : the competitors themselves plus few other invited judges (knowledgeable in the contest they are judging).
Second panel of judges the NES-Panel consist of non experienced skydivers though professionals in other sports or arts.

The Judging will happen in 3 stages.

1st stage: Competitors themselves will view the choreographies of the contest they entered and send to Sky On Stage their favourite ranking excluding their own team. Which choreography they liked most, second, third and so on. Sky on Stage, by giving a fix numerical value to first, second, third choice, will determine the competitors’ overall teams ranking.

2nd stage: The 20  top favourite routines (if there are more then 20 Teams 🙂) will then be  viewed by the Invited judges in the ES-Panel. Similar to first step, they will view the choreorgaphies and send Sky on Stage their personal ranking.

3rd stage: The 10 best video choreographies per each game, as decided by the ES-Panel, will then be reviewed also by the NES-Panel to determine the overall winners

Both panels, the ES-Panel and the NES-Panel, are evaluating the choreographies in their overall appeal, creativity, emotional power, rythm, flow,  ect. Basically they will just have to point out the choreorgaphies they liked the most.

a.16 Composition and Role of the Technical Commitee (TC-Panel)
Technical Committee consist of members chosen among eligible and experienced skydivers/freeflyers/freestylers/ wingsuiters/ skysurfers.
Their role is only to check general safety in the team’s flying, act as a point of reference for questions and tips concerning safety issues.

a.17 Panels of Judges Composition (Panel of Judges)
As said at point a.15 there will be two distinct panels that will act as reviewers and evaluators of the choreographies.

1) The Experienced Skydivers Panel (ES-Panel)
This Panel consists of the competitors themselves plus few invited judges.

2) the Non Experienced Skydivers Panel (NES-Panel)
This Panel consists of professionals in other sports and arts. Example: musician, photographer, film editor, designer, dancer, choreorgrapher, skier, paraglider, snowborader, mountain biker, gymnast.. etc etc…. the more variegated the better.

NOTE: the reason of having an outside of the sport Panel is so to keep the perspective of the non-skydiving viewers. Of course, the NES-Panel may not truly evaluate difficulty and technicality of the jump, as they are non skydiver themselves. Though they will offer a different perspective eye on the overall of the choreography movements and flow. They are also giving us an idea, of what non-skydivers public perceive and appreciate.

a.18 Last date to enter any of the games and Registration fees
